Commemorative poster series

Local punk band TAPABØKA wanted something special that their fans could take home after every show. Their style is distinctly electrifying, so we wanted to make something that not only reflected that, but that would leave fans wanting to collect the next one.

One of the biggest challenges we faced during the process was answering the following: “How do we make each poster into its own unique world, without creating dissonance within TAPABØKA’s established brand identity?” We answered by incorporating each of the members’ distinct personas in each design, with different color combos for that signature allure that makes you want them all up on your walls, all at once.

The band puts together different themes for all their shows, from clown night to cyberpunk. Similarly, the posters remain consistent in their content, but find a unique way to present it to the viewer each time. So after you’re done moshing to La Ley, you know there’s a special creation waiting for you at the merch table every show.
